Dunwoody Update: Voting, Sanitation Pick-up, Parents Cyber Safety Class, Situation Awareness Class, Events, Georgetown Park

1. Vote … I trust at the top of your list of things to do tomorrow, May 20th, is to vote. One of the greatest aspects of being freedom loving Americans is our privilege to vote as free men and women. Voting will be at your normal polling place and the polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM. PLEASE VOTE!!

2. Sanitation Pick-up … This is for those of us that are in the test group of the once a week sanitation pick-up. Make sure you put your green 65 gal containers with the silver bar in the front of the container facing the street … the green handle that you pull the container with will face the curb. Keep other containers, blue recycle box, etc about 18” away from the 65 gal green container in order for the “mechanical arm” to be able to pick up the green container.  One question has come up … what to do if you have more trash than will fit in the 65 gal container … DC prefers you put the excess in black plastic bags close but not right next to the green container. A secondary solution would be to put the excess in a trash container of some type.

3. Parents Cyber Safety Class … Are you worried about the information and content your children are exposed to online? Please plan to join the Dunwoody Police Department for a FREE informational class to educate parents on the potential dangers of the cyber world and how to protect children from inappropriate content. The class will be held tomorrow, May 20th, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Dunwoody City Hall. The class is free.
